Bachmann Construction, Since 1954
Using his education as a carpenter and former member of the U.S. Army 19th Engineers, and her experience with hard work and diligence growing up on a dairy farm. Since 1954, Fred and Ruth established a reputation of excellence and team work which has continued through the years. Now the company has over 60 employees, performing $20,000,000 in construction projects annually.
Several of our Carpenters and Laborers are second or third generation company employees, working hard to make the dream the founders built into reality a continued success.
Bachmann Construction Company, Inc., was founded in 1954, by Fred and Ruth Bachmann, building cabinets from the basement of their home.
1959
In 1975, Al Bachmann started his career working first as a full-time Carpenter, then alongside his father as a Project Manager.
1978
In 1980, Diane and Fred Jr. joined the company working along side their parents, gaining experience and insight while helping to grow the company.
1981
Bachmann Construction Company evolves, reaching the highest point in Wisconsin! State of Wisconsin Capitol Window & Roof Replacement and Restoration!
1985
Sheryl Moreland, (lower) BCCI’s CFO, starts her career with BCCI as accounting assistant! Also pictured Diane Bachmann (middle) and Annie Bachmann (upper).
1990
Fred Bachmann Jr. embodies family founder spirit starting a separate business endeavor with Bachmann Pools & Spas. Like other family resemblances, a smile, service attitude and even logo can be seen, but both are unique and separate!
1998
Ushering in a new century, Bachmann Construction hits a growth spurt to accommodate space for five more PM’s with a new project management wing addition to Bachmann HQ!
2001
First Annual Fred Bachmann Sr. Scholarship Fundraiser Event with the goal to help those who wish to carry on the tradition of quality construction and build into the future.
2004
Callie is adopted and initiates the beginning of an era of our ‘Office Animals’ family! BCCI recognizes the wellbeing value to all with pet friendly culture. Whether it is our residents or just a friendly visit from staff furry extended family members.
2011 & 2014
Diane retired as CFO. Al is now CEO and sits on the Board of Directors, along with several other employees and family members.
2018
BCCI installs roof mounted solar PV on our corporate HQ, role modeling community commitment and walking the talk to displace our carbon footprint with clean renewable energy generation.

Bachmann Construction Company matures and executes first design-build project with historic renovation of Olds Building adaptive reuse from seed building into new office space.
1987
3rd Generation Bachmann Construction Co. hard at work nights and weekends training for future ownership responsibilities!
1995
Bachmann Construction Company continues to grow and evolve moving to our current S. Stoughton Road Madison business corridor location!
2000
Bob Beghin retires. Bob invested his entire career with BCCI from apprentice to journeyman carpenter, estimator and project manager that has shaped our culture and values. His role model contributions continue today in our lobby “Training The Next Generation” which recognizes Bob’s footsteps in other Bachmann Team Members who likewise serve as important role models.
2001
BCCI Celebrates 50 Year Anniversary in service to the community with a gala event!
2007
Noah & Naomi came back to join BCCI professionally, infusing new skills, experience and knowledge to share! Naomi returned earning Mathematics degree in 2006 and project management experience with EPIC. Noah returned earning civil engineering degree, advanced education in structural engineering and consulting engineering experience with GRAEF.
2015
Garver Feed Mill historic renovation and adaptive reuse project is nationally recognized for NPS Historic Restoration.
2020
The third generation continues as Naomi Kroth is a Project Manager and VP, Noah Bachmann is a Carpenter and Engineer, David Bachmann is a Laborer.
